How to make a Toffee sauce in 5 minutes.
Hello Foodies,
This week is about the Toffee sauce. As i mentioned in previous videos, i am building your skill and knowledge to get more adventurous in your dessert creations and baking skills. This Toffee sauce only uses 3 ingredients. it is easy to make and it take less than 5 minutes to cook. I will be serving it with my steamed sticky date pudding and you will have that recipe really soon, next Friday.

Ingredients

g
Cream
(Whipping cream is perfect)

g
Brown sugar
(Light or dark up to you)

Butter
(Unsalted)
Instructions

Prepare and measure correctly all your ingredients. Using an electronic scale is the best.

Using a sauce pan, pour the cream into it.

Add your Brown sugar.

using a spatula or wooden spoon, give it a little stir until the sugar looks a little melted.

Now bring the saucepan to the stove, heat it up to a boiling point whilst stirring.

Once boiling, just like this keep stirring and reduce the heat to low.

Stir for 2 to 3 more minutes or until it looks thicker.

Once done, remove the saucepan from the heat and add the butter.

Stir in the butter until it is all combined to the sauce.

Serve it warm into a bowl.

It should coat the back of a spoon.

Voila, a nice toffee sauce.

Recipe Notes
You can keep the sauce in the fridge for up to 5 days.
You can reheat slowly over the stove or gently in the microwave. Just make sure to not boil it again.
